Shaw and Partners has been appointed Joint Lead Manager to the MA Financial’s $300m Credit Income Trust Fund’s (ASX:MA1) upcoming listing. $171m was locked in from cornerstone backers.
The Fund will offer curated access to MA Financial’s flagship private credit strategies, which have delivered consistent returns and outperformed traditional benchmarks for fixed income investments since inception.
- Consistent monthly income objective: seeks to provide monthly distributions targeting RBA Cash Rate + 4.25% per annum over a rolling 12-month period (pre-tax, net of management fees and costs).
- Leading manager with substantial alignment: MA Financial and staff are highly aligned, having co-invested over $190m in all MA Financial credit funds.
- Curated access to diversified portfolio: the Fund provides access to a large, diversified portfolio of MA Financial’s flagship private credit strategies.
- Capital preservation bias: MA Financial’s credit investment philosophy is based around ‘avoiding losers, not picking winners’.
- Investment in an ASX listed trust structure: The Fund is intended to offer investors access to MA Financial’s private credit strategies via ASX-traded units.
- Capital management initiatives: To supplement investors ability to buy and sell units on the ASX, the Fund’s responsible entity will (in consultation with the Manager) consider a number of capital management initiatives, including:
- An intention to make regular off-market buy-backs of units at NAV by the Fund up to 5% of the issued capital of the Fund each calendar quarter;
- MA Financial funds and entities may purchase units on-market in the Fund from time to time; and
- On-market buy-backs may be made by the Fund’s responsible entity from time to time.
