Celebrating 10 Years of Shaw and Partners in Adelaide News09 Jun 2025

Ten years ago, on Thursday 11 June 2015, Shaw and Partners Financial Services proudly opened the doors to a modest office in Adelaide with a clear ambition—to build a strong presence in South Australia and deliver exceptional investment advice grounded in trust, performance, and personal connection.

What began as a small team with a bold vision has evolved into one of the most respected wealth management and financial planning businesses in the state. From our early days on Grenfell Street, to moving into the landmark building at 91 King William Street in 2017, and more recently relocating to larger premises on Level 25 of the same address, each step of our journey has reflected our growing reputation and commitment to our clients.

Today, the Shaw and Partners Adelaide office is home to a team of 29 investment advisers and staff, bringing together a diverse range of skills and experience. Over the years, the team has expanded significantly in both size and capability, attracting some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals and earning a reputation for excellence in client service. We have proudly hosted signature client events at iconic venues like Adelaide Oval and the Mortlock Wing, State Library of South Australia, building a community around meaningful conversations and lasting partnerships.

Beyond the boardroom, the Adelaide team has embraced a strong culture of giving back. They have donated over $280,000 to the Mito Foundation, driven largely through consistent participation in The Bloody Long Walk. The team also regularly volunteers their time at the Hutt St Centre, supporting people experiencing homelessness, and remains actively involved in a range of philanthropic initiatives across South Australia. More broadly, the Shaw and Partners Foundation has donated over $12 million to charity since 2015, supporting more than 300 charitable organisations across Australia. This ongoing contribution reflects a genuine culture of care, compassion and community engagement.

Shaw and Partners is also a proud sponsor of the local Grange Surf Life Saving Club, a vital community organisation committed to keeping Adelaide’s beaches safe. The Club provides surf lifesaving services through its dedicated volunteers and offers a supportive environment for children, teenagers, and young adults to grow into qualified surf lifesavers. It’s a partnership that aligns strongly with Shaw and Partners’ values—supporting local communities and empowering future generations.

As we mark this 10-year milestone, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our clients and partners who have shared the journey with us. Crucially, the success of the past decade is a testament to the dedication of our Adelaide team —whose professionalism, integrity and culture have been central to the success of the past decade. The future is bright, and we look forward to the next decade of helping South Australians build and preserve their wealth with confidence.
