Last Friday, Shaw and Partners had the privilege of partnering with the Ricky Stuart Foundation for their inaugural Legends Lunch at Doltone House in Sydney, aimed at raising funds to support the development of the Autism Awareness in Schools Education Program.
The event was attended by 400 people, including a significant number of high-profile media and sporting personalities, and was well represented by over 20 Shaw and Partners advisers and staff members.
Founded in 2011 by Ricky and Kaylie Stuart, the Ricky Stuart Foundation was inspired by their journey of raising a daughter with autism.
During the evening, we had the chance to hear from Ash Barty, the 25-year-old former world No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam champion. Great to see her autographing Shaw and Partners branded footballs.
Most importantly, the day was a massive success, with the Shaw and Partners Foundation donating an initial $100,000 and then doubling their effort by matching four donations for a total contribution of $200,000.
By the end of the day, the total amount raised was over $570,000, which will significantly contribute to the essential work that Ricky and his foundation are doing.
Congratulations to Steve Johnston, ACT State Manager, for driving this event alongside Ricky’s team
