Last night, Shaw and Partners was delighted to serve as the Platinum Partner for Gold Dinner 2023, supporting the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF). We are thrilled to announce that a world record-breaking $19.2 million was raised for critical care services across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, surpassing the fundraising goal of $15 million and last year's record of $9.2 million.
Critical care teams provide essential support, whether a child requires resuscitation in the emergency department, life-saving surgery, or round-the-clock care in the Intensive Care Unit. These teams ensure that the sickest children in NSW receive the best possible chance at survival and recovery.
The $19.2 million funds will be used for a specialist purpose building for kids affected by cancer. During the evening, Shaw and Partners made an additional contribution by purchasing two bells for the new facilities. The ringing of the bells will serve as a symbol of hope and inspiration for both the children and their families, marking a significant milestone in their cancer journey every time a child goes cancer-free.
This historic fundraising achievement is a true testament to the incredible Gold Dinner committee members, led by Co-Chairs Joshua Penn and Linda Penn, whose commitment to philanthropic giving is unparalleled. Our heartfelt congratulations to Shaw and Partners Co-CEO and esteemed Gold Dinner Committee Member, Earl Evans, who played a significant role in this effort.
Shaw and Partners is incredibly proud to have played a major part in Gold Dinner 2023, supporting the invaluable cause of children's health and making a difference in this remarkable event.
