Once again, the Shaw and Partners WA Race Week is set to be the pinnacle event on this year’s ocean ski paddling calendar. With an impressive prize pool of $180,000, the week promises to be a paddling spectacle, showcasing a five-event racing schedule that will run from November 18-25, culminating in the much-anticipated Shaw and Partners "The Doctor" grand finale on Saturday, November 25.

"The Doctor," named after the sea breeze that brings relief to the central districts of Perth on sweltering days, is a legendary 27km downwind race starting at Rottnest Island and concluding at Sorrento Beach.

The allure of the Shaw and Partners WA Race Week goes beyond the shores of Australia. It manages to pull in a myriad of paddlers from international destinations. Participants from South Africa, the UK, America, Singapore and Hong Kong are set to join the event and challenge the formidable paddling and surf lifesaving talents that Australia and New Zealand have to offer. Thursday 23 November: Dr. Ben Hewitt Sunset Surfski Series 2 – Prize pool: $5,000
Friday 24 November: Shaw and Partners Dash For Cash – Prize pool: $15,000
Saturday 25 November: Shaw and Partners Doctor – Prize pool: $50,000

A further prize pool of $80,000 will be distributed to the top performers across all five races.

This year's Shaw and Partners WA Race Week is gearing up to be an unforgettable one, with expectations of over 1,200 athletes congregating at the Sorrento SLS Club, which will host most of the events and activities.
