Share trading group Superhero has raised $15 million in a private funding round targeted see it through to an initial public offering slated for early next year.
It is understood Superhero’s raising was finalised in the past few days and was managed by Shaw and Partners.
Funds raised were to help grow the business ahead of an IPO slated for next year, investors said, including new products and markets.
Investors were told the business’ three offerings - Australian shares, US shares and superannuation, the latter two which are relatively new additions - were tracking well ahead of expectations.
The deal comes six months after Superhero picked up $25 million in a pre-IPO funding round, also via Shaw.
Superhero is an Australian-based share trading platform, offering lower brokerage on Australian and US shares to clients.
