Shaw and Partners today announced the opening of its new Canberra office with seven new staff members.
The Canberra office will be managed by Stephen Johnston; who is joined by Investment Advisers Rod Sutherland, Tom Kenyon, Penny Ponder and Neil Robertson.
The bulk of the team joins Shaw and Partners from Macquarie’s Canberra office.
Shaw and Partners Co-CEO, Earl Evans, said he was very excited about opening the company’s new Canberra office. “Canberra is a growing market and I know that with the high profile of all of the Advisers who are coming on board, our new Canberra branch should be successful within its first year.”
It’s another string in the Shaw and Partners bow, rounding out its national footprint with the establishment of its sixth office.
Shaw and Partners built its Adelaide office from a standing start just two years ago and it is now one of the top offices in Adelaide. It is expected that the Canberra operation will emulate the success of the Adelaide office.
All new Advisers will commence with Shaw and Partners on Wednesday 19 July once they have satisfied their respective legal obligations to their former employers.
