It was a proud day for Shaw and Partners yesterday hosting over 300 Surf Life Saving WA nippers at the 2022 Shaw and Partners WA Race Week Nipper Clinic.
Nippers from all over Perth converged to City of Perth SLSC for a free 90-minute clinic with the best Ironmen, Ironwomen and surf ski athletes in the world.
The outstanding Shaw and Partners Nipper Clinic instructor line up included Shannon Eckstein, Ali Day, Kendrick Louis, Cory Hill, Finn Askew, Georgia Miller, Hannah Sculley, Harriet Brown, Jemma Smith, Matt Poole, Zach Morris, Michael Booth and Jackson Symonds.
Nippers had the opportunity to meet and train with their heroes and were taken through a set of drills in the surf and rotations on the beach.
“I’ve done other clinics with the Ironman series,” said 8 x Coolangatta Gold winner Ali Day, “and the enthusiasm here is unparalleled. I hope that the 13 of us have inspired them to stick with Surf Life Saving, and to take it with them into later years – and the rest of their lives.”
It was a memorable day for all involved, especially the hundreds of inspired nippers who walked away with autographed cards from their favourite.
