Shaw and Partners is proudly presenting the Coolangatta Gold Ironman Origin Series

The Shaw and Partners Cooly Gold Ironman Challenge is proudly supported by the Shaw and Partners Foundation; which adopts simple motivation to “have fun, live life and give back”. It is with this phrase in mind, that we approach this crowdfunding campaign to raise money for Jess, with an appetite to stretch our targets, collaborate and generate new and disruptive ideas for and approaches to giving.

Shaw and Partners was honoured to help raise over $30,000 for former ironwoman Jess Collins who was injured in a surf related accident earlier this year. The Shaw and Partners Foundation, together with the help of the Surf Life Saving and Ironman community, organised a crowdfunding campaign and all money raised during the Coolangatta Gold Ironman Origin Series was donated to Sunflowers for Jess.

Over the weekend Shaw and Partners was proud to sponsor the modified Coolangatta Gold at Wanda Surf Life Saving Club, after the famous Gold Coast race was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 25km race, held at Bate Bay in the Sutherland Shire, consisted of a 12.5km ski, a 2.5km swim leg, 4.5km board and a 5.5 km run from Wanda to North Cronulla and back. Shaw and Partners raises over $30,000 for Sunflowers for Jess

The Shaw and Partners Foundation was honoured to help raise over $30,000 for Sunflowers for Jess, matching dollar-for-dollar all contributions made. In May 2018, Jess tragically suffered an accident doing what she loves most, surfing with her friends on the Gold Coast. The accident resulted in a spinal injury, fracturing her C5 vertebra which squashed the spinal cord and left her without feeling or movement below the shoulders. Shaw and Partners Financial Services was the presenting sponsor of the Shaw and Partners Coolangatta Gold Ironman Origin Series. The concept, the brainchild of Co-CEO Earl Evans, involved eight world champion athletes racing for their State of Origin.
