With just over two weeks to go until the final event of the Shaw and Partners Australian Ocean Racing Series (AORS) season, Australia’s ocean paddlers are gearing up for the series’ most iconic race.
AORS Bridge to Beach is taking place on Sunday, 24 February and is one of Australia’s largest open water paddling events and one of the world’s most spectacular.
The race kicks off at Milson Park, Kirribilli and finishes at Manly Wharf. Competitors hug the northern shores of Sydney Harbour with the stunning backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House behind them as they make their way past Taronga Zoo, Bradley’s Head, Clifton Gardens, North Harbour Reserve and both South and North Head on their way into Manly.
Fragile X Association of Australia is the charity partner for AORS Manly Wharf Bridge to Beach, marking the 6th year of partnership between Oceanpaddler/AORS and Fragile X.
For the third year running, the Shaw and Partners Foundation has made a commitment to match, dollar for dollar, all donations made to the AORS Manly Wharf Bridge to Beach event, raising much needed funding for Fragile X Association of Australia.
Participants can donate to Fragile X when entering online or fundraise through MyCause: www.mycause.com.au/events/ bridgetobeach
