ECM and Corporate Finance Associate and Analyst at Shaw and Partners News19 Apr 2021

Shaw and Partners has been highly successful in growing and evolving its small and mid-cap institutional business into a market leading franchise. In the last 12 months we have raised over $4bn in direct equity and hybrid issuance on behalf of our corporate clients.

Given the growth and success of the team over the last 12 months a rare opportunity has emerged to join the equity capital markets and corporate finance team at Shaw and Partners.

We are looking to add additional associates and analysts to enhance and strengthen our team and play a part in the next phase of our growth.

If successful, you'll become a key team member within our mid-cap franchise, liaising with senior corporate finance professionals, the institutional sales team and other key individuals within the business to deliver a superior outcome for our corporate and investor clients.

As an integral part of the team, you will work directly with senior bankers in originating and executing capital raising transactions for both new and existing clients across a range of industries and sub-sectors including:

  • Software, IT services and digital technologies
  • Disruptive technologies in consumer and b2b finance, healthcare, medical and industrial technology and emerging sustainable industries
  • Metals, mining and energy
  • General industrial and real asset based businesses
  • A-REITS

Given the team’s flat organizational structure, you will gain significant exposure to senior bankers while also working closely with clients on various transactions.

While you will have advanced financial modelling, business model analysis and pitch preparation skills, this is not just a deskbound .ppt or spreadsheet jockey job.

You will be an important and valued addition to our business which is reflected in an attractive salary package for successful candidates.  A fantastic opportunity awaits you to join a highly regarded, growing business. Your contribution and commitment will be recognised and rewarded. We have an entrepreneurial culture where new ways of tackling business challenges are welcomed and where we celebrate our successes together!

To Be Successful You'll Have:

  • a minimum of 2-4+ years of experience in equity capital markets in Australia or relevant and complementary corporate advisory or financial services experience
  • advanced financial modelling and proposal preparation skills
  • a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to team goals rather than an individual focus
  • a strong client orientated and problem solving mindset
  • strong interpersonal skills

Interested candidates should submit their CV to [email protected]
