Yesterday, our Shaw and Partners Sydney team proudly participated in the City2Surf, joining over 90,000 runners and walkers for the 14km event, all in support of the Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC).
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community and the Shaw and Partners Foundation, which matched every dollar raised, we are thrilled to announce a $50,000 donation to WAGEC. We are also proud to share that Shaw and Partners was the fourth-highest fundraiser for the entire City2Surf event, a testament to our team's dedication and the overwhelming support we received.
WAGEC, a Redfern-based grassroots organisation, is dedicated to supporting women and families in crisis and advocating for meaningful social change. Their vital work helps those affected by domestic violence to find safety and rebuild their lives.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and a heartfelt congratulations to our team members who completed the race: Anthony Wilson, John Wardman, Brittany Hughes, Emma Tippett, Fraser MacLeod, James Seabrook, Connie Navarrete, Edward Hoare, Mike Crone, Chris Dorney, Sam Christie, Will MacPherson, Fiona Burton, John Lee, Graham Kaplan, Samantha Murray, Eric Farrales-Glorioso, Michael De Palma, Indi Sarker, Lindsay Archibald and Laurie Ellis.
