Erebus Motorsport retains Championship lead in Sydney Supercars races News01 Jul 2023

Shaw and Partners, as a proud major partner, is thrilled to applaud the exceptional performance of Erebus Motorsport's Coca Cola Racing team in Races 18 and 19 of the #Sydney Supercars Championship.

In Race 18, the spotlight shone brightly on Brodie Kostecki as he reclaimed the Championship lead with a stunning display of skill and strategy. Navigating through heart-stopping action and high-stake moves in the final laps, Kostecki executed a faultless race that culminated in the third win of his career.

Parallelly, teammate Will Brown demonstrated unyielding tenacity, claiming his 9th podium of the year. Despite being jumped after a fuel gamble, Brown showed resilience and regained his footing to take the third spot on the podium.

Moving to Race 19, the finale in Sydney proved to be a test of grit and determination for the The Coca-Cola Company Racing team. Brown, after a tumultuous start that saw him sent into a high-speed spin across the grass, showed remarkable resilience to recover and move up the ranks to finish P14.

Despite some issues with tyre endurance and a more challenging race, Kostecki put up a superb effort to cross the finish line in P8.

This performance reinforces Erebus Motorsport's position at the top of the Team’s leader board, with Kostecki and Brown firmly maintaining their spots in the Driver’s tally.

As the Supercars Championship heads to Tailem Bend on August 19-20, the Erebus team is poised for more racing battles, backed by the unwavering support of Shaw and Partners.
