Yesterday was a proud day for Shaw and Partners with over $300,000 donated to mental health support and suicide prevention charities across Australia.
Shaw and Partners Co-CEO Earl Evans was thrilled to participate in Paul Murray Live Appeal last night to announce an additional $100,000 donation to Kids Helpline on behalf of the Shaw and Partners Foundation.
During the course of the day – RU OK? Day – the Shaw and Partners Foundation already donated $200,000 to 16 Australian charities in support of people in our community seeking mental health support, financial stress assistance and suicide prevention services.
The Paul Murray Live Appeal, urging Australians to donate to Kids Helpline amid the “huge spike” in mental health issues amid the ongoing pandemic, raised over $360,000 (and counting) with Shaw and Partners matching every donation up to $100,000.
Kids Helpline is Australia’s only free, confidential 24/7 online and phone counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Qualified counsellors at Kids Helpline are available via webchat, phone or email anytime and for any reason. For some young people, connecting with Kids Helpline has been a life-saving experience, while for others it’s about practical help and emotional support at the critical moment they need someone to listen.
