Shaw and Partners and North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club today announced a two-year sponsorship deal which will see Shaw and Partners sponsoring the club’s Youth Competition section, covering competitors in ski, board, swim and sand events.

North Bondi has excelled in youth competition during recent years, with the club being awarded the Under-17Australian Champion Club in 2015, beating out more than 250 clubs for the title. At the recent Australian Titles in March, at North Kirra, North Bondi secured gold medals in U17 March Past, Ironwoman, board race, rescue and relay events as well as several beach run medals.

Under the sponsorship Shaw and Partners will provide valuable assistance to North Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club, ensuring equipment and professional training resources are made available to the club’s junior lifesavers.

Shaw and Partners CEO Allan Zion said surf lifesaving was one of the most important aspects of coastal Australian life and Shaw and Partners was pleased to be associated with such a prestigious club.

“Surf lifesaving is attracting more and more young people who not only see it as a way to keep fit and interact with other competitors throughout Australia, but also as a way to give back to the community they live in and we are very happy to support this,” Mr Zion said.

North Bondi SLSC is one of the Surf Life Saving movement's foundation clubs, opening its doors in 1906. It boasts a long and glorious history of vigilance and service on Bondi Beach as well as an enviable track record in surf competition.

Today, the club is one of Australia's largest surf clubs, with more than 2000 members and boasting one of the newest and most advanced life saving facilities on the Australian coastline.
